Opportunities for Local Moms to Connect

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers: birth to kindergarten) is a worldwide faith-based organization.

Within MOPS, the MOPPETS childcare program allows for moms to get a break while gathering with other moms to learn, create, and make new friends. There are several MOPS groups that meet at local churches:

  • Greenwood Christian Church. 2045 Averitt Rd, Greenwood. Meets second and fourth Wednesday evenings from 6-8 PM
  • Rocklane Christian. 4430 Rocklane Road, Greenwood. Meets second and fourth Tuesdays 9:30-11:30 am
  • Stones Crossing Church. 7000 W Stones Crossing Rd. AM group meets first and third Wednesdays from 9:15-11:15 am. PM group meets first and third Tuesdays at 6:45 pm
  • Lifepoint Church. 8540 Combs Rd, Indianapolis. Meets first and third Thursdays 9-11:15 am
  • Southview Wesleyan Church 4700 Shelbyville Rd, Indianapolis. Meets first Mondays of the month 9-11:30 am


MTO (Mom's Time Out) Emmanuel Church. 1640 W Stones Crossing, Greenwood. Pregnant, mother of teens or anywhere in between - this is the place for you! Have fun connecting with other moms and learning from engaging speakers. Thursdays, twice monthly 9:30-11:30. Childcare provided. $20 per semester. 
Can't meet during the day? Join the Night Edition at Banta Campus. 6602 Harding St, Indianapolis. Twice monthly on Tuesday evenings, 6:30-8:30 pm

Macaroni Kid Johnson-South Indy publishes a free weekly e-newsletter that informs parents of family events and activities especially for kids in Johnson County, Indiana and south side Indianapolis. This includes the communities of Southport, Homecroft, Greenwood, Franklin, Center Grove, Whiteland, New Whiteland, Trafalgar, and surrounding areas.
